Saddam forced to watch South Park repeatedly

Saw this on Drudge. That's too bad; I didn't really like the South Park movie all that much. I love the show. I wish they would have shown him episodes of the show instead. He made plenty of appearances in it after all.

I watch TV

I just watched The 4400 season finale... WOW!! WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW!! More television needs to be exactly like that.

On another note, I'm watching Raw (on SCI-FI) right now and I realized one thing.

Chris Masters - steriods = Randy Orton.

Val Venis Libertarian commercial

This is kind of cool.

One interesting thing is that he says "if you are looking for real border security... vote for (Libertarian candidate) Barry Hess." I'm surprised by this. The Libertarian Party's 100% open border policy is why I'm not registered Libertarian.

Dart League

Summer season is over. I started out the season with a .8 cricket average and finished with at 1.6, so I doubled my average over the season. Very cool.

That's Mr. McMahon to you

Here's a review of the new 'McMahon' DVD that is coming out this week. I'll pretend that I'm not going to buy it, but I'm sure I probably will.

Where was I?

Sorry I haven't posted lately. I'll let you dear readers guess why from the following multiple choice options:

1) I "hurt" my knee.
2) I lost my smile.
3) I didn't want to put over Bret Hart.
4) Kevin Nash ate my homework.
5) Tammy Sytch ate Kevin Nash's homework.
6) Tammy Sytch shoved Kevin Nash's homework up her nose.
7) I shot myself in the head after watching the last WWE Diva Search segment.
8) I'm just really lazy.

Superheroes unmasked as drink drivers

Two guys got pulled over for drunk driving. The funny part is that they were dressed like Superman and Batman.

A source at Fife Police said, "This is a real fall from grace for two superheroes. I am sure drink driving is not allowed in Gotham City, and it is certainly not to allowed in Fife.

They were the worse for wear having been at a fancy dress party. But there was nothing comical about driving home after having a drink."

So I've been wrong all these years...

Here's another crazy fundamentalist site "proving" that the earth is stationary. Yes, folks, the sun rotates the earth. And you can only find the proof on our great blog at themeofasence.com.

WWE responds to Wake Forest study linking wrestling with violent behavior

My only question is why should a "sports entertainment" company care about what some study says about "professional wrestling"? We all know (since we are told over and over and over) that WWE is NOT a wrestling company, but a "sports entertainment" company. That study must be referring to TNA wrestling.

"WWE(R) Refutes Findings of Teen Study

Monday August 7, 10:49 am ET
STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 7, 2006--World Wrestling Entertainment (NYSE: WWE) issued the following statement today in response to a study documented in the August issue of 'Pediatrics':

'We find the study flawed and ridiculous and we are contemplating legal action.'

Trademarks: The names of all World Wrestling Entertainment televised and live programming, talent names, images, likenesses, slogans and wrestling moves and all World Wrestling Entertainment logos are trademarks which are the exclusive property of World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. ECW notes

I just watched this week's ECW. It was by far the best show they've had since WWE brought back the promotion.

There wasn't any gaga this week. There weren't any long, stupid in-week promos. Tommy Dreamer took a great beating. C. M. Punk (who has a great character, btw) made his debut and looks like he'll get over pretty well. And Steve "Brooklyn Brawler" Lombardi made his ECW debut. As did Vince McMahon, if your paused your DVR in the right place.

The best part was probably seeing the audience turn on the Big Show/Batista match. "Boring", "Same old Shit", and "Turn the Channel" chants rule during a match like that. I don't think that either wrestler (oh sorry "extremist") should take those chants personally, either. The chants were from an audience who hates to see what Vince McMahon did to "their" company after he bought it.

I'll say this: This is how WWE's ECW should have been from day number one.
