Bomb threats in Brainard

Hey, that's where I grew up! I hope it's nothing more than some childish prank.

"BRAINARD – East Butler Public School officials canceled classes Wednesday after a bomb threat was found in a school bathroom."

'Kramer' apologizes for racist tirade - CNN.com

I had to suspend my Letterman boycott for one night to watch Jerry Seinfeld and Michael Richards. Seinfeld's a good guy to invite Richards on the show to apologize. It's kind of weird watching "Kramer" out of character like that. I'll post a youtube of the Letterman clip if I find one.

It's about time...

The movie us dorks have all been waiting for is finally in the works. Check out the cast. Kiefer Sutherland to voice Raistlin Majere. Interesting.

I'm happy that they're going with the cartoon route so that the movie doesn't accidently get confused with those HORRIBLE D&D movies from a few years ago.

Also, if Chronicles I fails at the box office, maybe they can at least continue the series on DVD. I really doubt all six will make it to theatres.

TNA: Genesis

I just read the results of last night's TNA pay-per-view.

They show looks like it was a good one, but I think they made a horrible choice to take the belt off of Sting. But constant title changes are what we can expect now that Russo is on the booking team.

I'm guessing they'll go Angle vs. Abyss for the title at the next show.

Speaking of Angle, it was a very bad move to have him defeat Samoa Joe clean by submission. Two reasons: 1) It leaves nothing to look forward too. This match happened way too soon and now we know that Joe can tap out. They could have just as easily went the Hart/Austin WMXIII route and had one of the contenders lose by knockout or blood loss. 2) By having Angle come in a force TNA's top guy (who's never been beaten) to submit cleanly shows that TNA is still second-rate to WWE.

I blame Russo, but we'll have to see what happens at the next TV taping before I start calling it "WCW2000."

WrestleCrap Update

Good news for us crappers. RD put up a new action-packed epidisode or WrestleCrap radio. And all of the grown-ups at work are out today, so it looks like it's a WrestleCrap Friday (with a little bit of NetHack thrown in for fun.)

Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers

Saw Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers again last night. Great stuff. The last song was "Baba O'Reilly" by The Who. Kind of cool, I guess, but I would have rather head Nada again instead.

Bush, Nancy Pelosi Try to Reconcile

Let's hope they can work together. I'm so sick of people wanting us to fail in Iraq simply because they don't like the president. It's now time to put all of this partisan bullshit aside, knock off the name-calling and finger-pointing, and start solving some problems.

It also appears that the Dems took the Senate. This doesn't have to be a bad thing. Bush's best years were early on, when he didn't have control the Senate, anyhow. So maybe, just maybe, this can mean a new beginning and these politicians can actually start working for a better country in the next two years.

Democrats win control of the House

I doubt anyone is surprised by this. While it's pretty obvious that I sit on the other side of the political fence, I think the last few years have shown us that single-party rule doesn't work very well. Also, the Republicans deserved to lose this. They've done nothing to curb spending, secure the border, protect the unborn, or reduce the size of government. At least with the potential for gridlock, the Republicans can once again start governing like Republicans. Hopefully.

Now let's all take a moment to shudder at the thought of House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi. See you in 2!

Santorum wrestling ad

This is kind of cool. Of course it's flagged as "inappropriate" by YouTube/Google since it's an ad for a Republican.
