Ronald Reagan and Ron Paul: A Comparison

Man, Reagan was awesome. Check out this video. And take note at which "Republican" running for president matches up with Reagan's policies the best.

Joseph Farah: Why listen to me?

Here's a good article from Farah. He's one step closer to endorsing Ron Paul.

...Mitt Romney supporters, apparently swayed by endorsements or adulation offered up by Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham, among others, want to know why I am not falling in lockstep with these notable conservatives.

...ask yourself who was right in 2000? Did not all of the above well-intentioned friends of mine all swoon over George W. Bush? Did they not tell you he was the next Ronald Reagan? And what did I say?

In case you forgot, I warned you that Bush was dangerous – that electing leaders like him had the potential to destroy the Republican Party. I told you he was a phony "conservative."

Military says planes in area of Texas UFO reports

Come on.

At least two people claimed to see jets with the UFOs last week and then the military denied that there were any jets in the area at the time of the sightings.

They might as well just pull out the weather balloon or swamp gas excuses.

Dr. Yankem endorses Dr. Paul

Thompson Drops Out of Presidential Race

The biggest problem with his campaign was that he never really started it. He skipped all of the early debates and by the time he decided to run, the real conservatives were already behind Paul. The pseudo-conservatives were behind Huckabee and Romney, while the neo-conservatives were behind Giuliani. (I'm still not sure where McCain's sudden burst of support came from.)

Oh well, maybe he can go back to Law & Order so that Jack McCoy can have a larger role on the show again.

Chris Matthews needs to be fired. I don't know who this other guy is (the one who compares Ron Paul to Al-Qaeda) but the band of losers on this crappy "news" network are so bad, they make NPR look honest.

Ron Paul on Sean Hannity's Radio Show

I guess Hannity isn't as gutless as I thought. He gave Ron Paul ten minutes on Jan 2. Good interview. I only wish Ron would talk about the IRS more when he's on these shows.

Limbaugh: If McCain or Huckabee Gets the Nomination, It Will Destroy GOP

I totally agree with him on Huckabee, but I don't think McCain will hurt the party. Either way, I wish Rush would have used this concept to endorse the only true conservative running for president, Ron Paul.

Sigh.

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Mark in Standish, Michigan, I really appreciate your holding on. Welcome to the program.

CALLER: Hello, Rush.

RUSH: Hi.

CALLER: Sorry to deviate from your monologue for just a minute, but you had a woman call yesterday that just frosted me to no end that if either Huckabee or McCain won the nomination she was going to sit the election out.

RUSH: Yeah.

CALLER: People like her, I coined a term, a call them TV Republicans, and it doesn't stand for television, it stands for tunnel vision, because they need to take the blinders off and see the bigger picture. If they sit out the general election, the Democrat wins it by default, whichever one of the Three Stooges wins it. Guess what? In the next four years, there's going to be probably one, maybe two Supreme Court vacancies come up. Do they really want one of the three bozos over there appointing the next two Supreme Court justices? Is Clinton gonna appoint another Ginsburg, or is she going to do another Scalia? Is Obama going to appoint another Justice Thomas or is he going to do somebody like Breyer or Stevens? Do they really want a liberal appointing the next two Supreme Court justices? They need to take the blinders off, Rush. They need to look at the bigger vision and quit being Tunnel Vision Republicans.

RUSH: I understand what you're saying. I hate to tell you this, but she's not alone. I'm here to tell you, if either of these two guys get the nomination, it's going to destroy the Republican Party, it's going to change it forever, be the end of it. A lot of people aren't going to vote. You watch.

New Year, New Workout

I'm going to try a new workout that Rev from the Muscle and Fitness message board sent me a while back.

It's your basic 12-week program that starts off with full-body and then moves to a three day (push/pull/core) split.

Should be fun getting back in the game. I'm tired of screwing around.

The first time Vince "bought" WCW

Since it's my first post back from Italy, I thought I'd share some cool wrestling history. (You have to know me pretty well to understand where I see the connection.)

This is before my time, but this is pretty crazy. When Georgia Championship Wrestling promoted NWA matches on TBS (World Championship Wrestling) in 1984, Vince bought the time slot. Here's the opening clip.
